COOPMED DISBURSED ITS FIRST LOAN IN JORDAN TO ITS PARTNER FINCA

August 2017

CoopMed signed a 2M USD loan with FINCA Jordan, our first partner in the country. FINCA JORDAN is the subsidiary company of FINCA Microfinance Holdings (FMH), and member of the FINCA International, Inc., a not-for-profit micro-financial services organization operating in 21 countries on 5 continents.

PARTNERSHIP EMN/BANCA ETICA/COOPEST: FONDIBESA IS FIRST BENEFICIARY

Within the framework of an innovative Partnership between Banca Popolare Etica (Italy), European Microfinance Network and CoopEst, CoopEst has just signed a EUR 1M senior loan agreement with FondiBESA, Albania. Under this partnership agreement, the partners are contributing to consolidate the microfinance sector in Europe and increase social impact. CoopEst is targeting EMN members thanks to a dedicated EUR 2 M funding provided by Banca Etica, with FondiBESA being the first beneficiary. FondiBESA is a distinguished MFI focused on economic growth and poverty reduction in urban and semi-urban areas of Albania.

CoopMed disbursed a 1.5M USD loan to Asala for Credit and Development Company (Asala). Our second partner in the country focuses on offering financial access to women with micro and small income‐generating activities, particularly in rural areas and the agricultural sector.

Centre Financier aux Entreprises (CFE) first CoopMed investment in Tunisia

CoopMed has financed its first client in Tunisia Centre Financiers aux Entreprises (CFE). CFE launched by DID, and Tunnivest in Tunisia focuses on the higher segment of the microfinance market and provides loans to small business that create jobs in peri-urban areas in Tunisia.

CoopMed keeps to invest in Morocco through supporting Al Karama

January 2017

CoopMed disbursed a first tranche to Al Karama which is becoming the largest of the medium-size AMCs in Morrocco. CoopMed’s loans will support Al Karama which is developing its portfolio in rural areas with dedicated rural and cooperative loans.
